Hey! First, I'm checking in to see if this will really post to Facebook. :)

Second, I want to list the songs and a brief synopsis of each one. The first one is called She Said. It is about the children that Johanna spent time with in Uganda and Kenya. There are two homes that shelter orphaned and abandoned babies and children. These children are either dying or are very sick, but you would never know it as they are peaceful and courageous. This song will have simple instrumentation - guitar, conga, maybe bass or cello.

Under the Thorn Tree is about a 14 yr. old girl who married a village chieftain. She was wife #4 and had to do all the grunge work. She was treated very badly by the other wives and when she was pregnant they kicked her out to have her baby outside under a thorn tree. She took care of 3 other orphan babies and found shelter for them. A local church found them and took them in. She said that she trusted in her Heavenly Father and knew that He would take care of them.

You Belong To Me is for widows - wherever they live. God is very passionate about widows and even though they have been abandoned, He will never leave them and promises to be their husband. The piano is the lead instrument for this song.

The last one I'll talk about for now is Baby Soldier. This, I think, is the darkest song of the project. These children are kidnapped and forced to do drugs and watch violent movies to teach them how to kill. But agencies are in place to help them heal and get reconnected with family and/or the community where they will live. This song will probably have full instrumentation, electric guitar, bass, drums, etc.

That's all for now! Please pray with me that God has His way with this project! Thank you!

OK! I've begun!

Hello there!
Here's my first attempt at blogging as a prelude to a website that will focus mainly on the music project I am currently working on. Hopefully, it will also have plenty of things like being able to listen to songs, a bio, pictures, events and scheduling.
Since this is the first I will keep it short and hopefully sweet! :) I was at my profile page ready to post a status, thinking about what I wanted to put there when this Bible verse popped into my head. I couldn't remember the reference so I looked it up in the NIV concordance AND the Strong's concordance AND looked it up on Bible Gateway AND got very frustrated!! Obviously, I had the wording wrong, so I went to my trusty old NIV Thompson Chain Reference Bible and looked in that concordance where I usually find everything I am looking for. And that's the word I was missing - for.
"For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His." 2 Chronicles 16:9. I. Want. That! I want my heart to be so much His that He is pleased to bend His mighty arm and strongly support me for His glory on His earth with my little life. That's it. That's enough. That's "just one thing" I'm living for.
I'll be back, thanks for reading!
